AGOGO means bell or gong in English, AGOGO is used by the Yoruba people of Nigeria, called Gankogui by the Ghanaian people. This iron iron forms functioned as gongs, but could also have been used as currency, these gongs were also used as a form of messaging from the king or community leaders. Other forms of this gong can be see worn by people of wealthy status.

AGOGO mirror was created as a symbol of wealth.

AGOGO mirror is made of metal, glass mirror and polished deep brass engraved with tribal scarification. The scarification involves the use of both industrial and manual welding techniques and science to embody the tribal scars. The mirror embodies the shape the AGOGO iron form for its design.
