BARI tribe are a neolithic people from South Sudan. the BARI stool was inspired by the headrest of the BARI tribe. The headrest is a true masterpiece as any other. The BARI living on the eastern shore of the white nil swamp uses the headrest to protect their elaborate hairstyles as well as using it for sleeping. the design of individual headrest is unique to each person’s ranks or royalties.
BARI bar stool is created as a symbol of individual status.
PRODUCT FEATURES
BARI bar stool is made of wood, polished deep brass with tribal scarification. The scarification involves the use of both industrial and manual welding techniques and science to embody the tribal scars. The Bar stool mimics the form and shape of the BARI tribal headrest as seen in the figure, the base of the BARI headrest is tripled and attached to support the hight and balance of the bar stool. The bar stool is finished with brass and engraved with tribal scars.
