CHOKWE people are a Bantu ethnic group of the central and southern Africa they are found primarily in Angola southwestern parts of DR Congo, and the northwestern parts of Zambia. This dining table derived its inspiration from the CHOKWE comb. This combs with beautifully hand-crafted sculpture with dual purposes, it was used as one of the art objects to show the power of the chiefs. And also, to style and untangle the sophisticated hairstyle of both men and women. the design of the combs and also reflect the individual status of the carrier.

CHOKWE dining table is made of metal, organic marble and polished brass engraved with tribal scarification. The scarification involves the use of both industrial and manual welding techniques and science to embody the tribal scars. The dining table embodies the shape of the CHOKWE comb for its main form that extends out of the table platform.
