TSONGA is an ethnic group primarily in the southern part of Mozambique and south Africa, and a very small number in countries like Zimbabwe and Eswatini. The TSONGA bar stool was inspired by the headrest of the TSONGA people. The TSONGA headrest is a stylistic representation of form that the TSONGA carvers have developed to sleep while at the same time protecting the elaborate coiffure of the sleeper. The headrests are small, their hight being the average distance from ear to shoulder. The headrest is usually unique to each person. Depending on status and community ranks.

PRODUCT FEATURES
TSONGA bar stool is made of wood, polished deep brass with tribal scarification. The scarification involves the use of both industrial and manual welding techniques and science to embody the tribal scars. the Bar stool embodies the forms of the TSONGA headrest. The curved neck rest carries the upholstered seat, with two vertical hinges at both ends to complete the neck rest as well as four leg stands to hold the form on top. The stool is finished with brass and tribal scars.
