KORO people are a widespread group of people found in northern Nigeria areas of plateau, Niger and Kaduna. This chair was inspired by the striking forms of the drinking cup of the KORO people. The figure whose abdomen displays a double cup used to drink and pour libations of bear or palm wine, during ritual sacrifices. Built on the same structure. Koro cup is an effigy of a standing ancestor supporting sacrificial cups.

KORO chair is made of wood, polished deep brass engraved with tribal scarification. The scarification involves the use of both industrial and manual welding techniques and science to embody the tribal scars. The chair embodies the shape of the KORO cup for its upholstery and overall form.
