GANKOGUI is a double metal bell from Ghana, also called agogo in Nigeria. This African style double bell comes in small, medium and large. It is usually played with a metal striker. These bells have a rustic sound with overtones and are used in many African rhythms during ceremonial functions. These bells were also been used traditionally for messaging from community elders or kings to the general population.
GANKOGUI table lamp is created as a symbol of rhythm.
PRODUCT FEATURES
GANKOGUI table lamp is made of metal and polished deep brass engraved with tribal scarification. The scarification involves the use of both industrial and manual welding techniques and science to embody the tribal scars. The table lamp directly mimics the shape of the GANKOGUI or agogo bell in its design. Illumination happens through a light plane on the smaller part of the bell structure.
