LOBI belong to an ethnic group that originated in what is today Ghana. LOBI people live mainly in Burkina Faso, with smaller group residing in ivory coast and Ghana. This lounger chair draws its inspiration from the LOBI seat curved by the LOBI people. The chair features a long curved oblong seat with three massive feet, sometimes could be two. These chairs were only used by wealthy elders, it was part of the few dedicated sculpture curved as a symbol of notable status. They were usually transmitted by descendant and were only replaced if they became unusable.

PRODUCT FEATURES
LOBI lounger chair is made of wood, polished deep brass engraved with tribal scarification. The scarification involves the use of both industrial and manual welding techniques and science to embody the tribal scars. The chair directly mimics the LOBI chair in its design, with little addition of brass element, to embrace it with a more contemporary form.
