SENUFO people are a western African ethnolinguistic group. They consist of diverse subgroup living in a region spanning the northern ivory coast, the southeastern Mali and western Burkina Faso. This lounger chair directly draws its inspiration from the SENOFU chair of the SUNOFU people, this chair has a unique utilitarian folding-up system designed for semi nomadic life.
SENUFO chair is a representation on traditional high design.
PRODUCT FEATURES
SENUFO chair is made of wood, polished deep brass engraved with tribal scarification. The scarification involves the use of both industrial and manual welding techniques and science to embody the tribal scars. The chair directly mimics the design of the SENUFO chair as well as its fold-up system. The new design uses brass elements with tribal scars to embrace a new form.
